This Privacy Policy explains how 3DBuildBot Industries ("3DBuildBot", "we") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, API, and manufacturing services (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
- Account data — name, work email, company, phone, and password hash.
- CAD files and order data — the geometric models you upload, materials selected, quantities, shipping addresses, and quote history.
- Payment data — handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, IP address, browser, device, and approximate location, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we use information
- To deliver the Service — generating quotes, fulfilling orders, sending status updates.
- To bill subscriptions and per-part orders.
- To improve the quoting engine, detect fraud, and secure the platform.
- To send transactional notifications (you cannot opt out of order-related emails) and, if you opt in, product news.
3. How we share information
- Manufacturing Partners receive the minimum data required to produce and ship your order: your CAD file, material, quantity, and shipping address.
- Service providers — Stripe (payments), our cloud database and storage host, transactional email provider — under written data-protection agreements.
- Legal — if compelled by valid legal process or to enforce our Terms.
- We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
CAD files are retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days, then deleted from primary storage. Order and invoice records are retained for 7 years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Enterprise customers may request immediate post-fulfillment data shred.
5. Security
We use TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest, role-based access control, and audit logging. CAD files are stored in a private bucket with policy-scoped access. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact privacy@3dbuildbot.comand we will respond within 30 days.
7. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our Manufacturing Partners and service providers operate. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, and optional analytics cookies to improve the product. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser without losing core functionality.
10. Changes
We will post any updates to this Policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice.
