Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026

Because custom-manufactured parts are produced to your specification, our refund policy distinguishes between orders that have entered production and those that have not.

1. Per-part manufacturing orders

1.1 Before production starts

You may cancel an order for a full refund at any time before the Manufacturing Partner accepts the job (typically within 30 minutes of checkout for standard plastics, longer for CNC and metals). Cancel from the Orders page. The refund posts to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

1.2 After production starts, before shipment

Once production has begun, cancellations are not generally available because materials and machine time have been consumed. We may offer a partial refund at our discretion if the part is cancelled early enough for the Manufacturing Partner to recover material costs.

1.3 Defective parts

If a part arrives with a defect attributable to manufacturing (wrong material, wrong dimensions outside the published tolerance for the process, structural failure, or damage in transit), report it within 14 days of delivery to support@3dbuildbot.comwith photos and order number. We will, at our option, reprint at no charge or refund the part total.

1.4 Not covered

We cannot refund parts that failed because of errors in the supplied CAD file (undercuts, wall thicknesses below the recommended minimum, missing features, non-manifold geometry), because the wrong material or process was selected at checkout, or because the part is being used outside the stated material data sheet.

2. Subscription plans

2.1 Monthly plans

You can cancel any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. Monthly fees already paid are non-refundable.

2.2 Annual plans

Annual plans are non-refundable after the first 14 days. Within 14 days of purchase, contact billing@3dbuildbot.com for a full refund minus any per-part production already invoiced.

2.3 Plan downgrades

Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. We do not pro-rate downgrades within an active period.

3. How to request a refund

Email support@3dbuildbot.com with your order or invoice number, the reason for the request, and photos if the issue is a physical defect. We respond within two business days.

4. Chargebacks

Please contact us before opening a chargeback — most issues can be resolved faster directly. Unwarranted chargebacks may result in account suspension.
